Background Information
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Republic – Venice, 1989.
Under Hong Kong – Hong Kong's subway - shot in 1996 before the British handover to China.
Looking for Tourists – Cuba in 2003. A day trip to old Havana during a family holiday. This essay marked my return to photography after a break of 6 years.
About 2AM – Tuscany in summer of 2005. My first encounters with digital photography and a tripod.
The Big Day – A wedding in Jerez, 2005.
Beyond the Paddock: Artist's Book – Between 1989 and 1995, I did not take any photo essays as my interest focused on mapping photos with poems and integrating the main themes (international relations, political economy and cognition) represented in the book. I conducted three interviews (S. Chandrasekhar, Paul Nitze and Jamie Sin) to emphasise the main themes.
